Bhagavad Gita Comic Hunter Blair

  1. Describe ways in which you feel like Arjuna. Like Arjuna I can’t quite wrap my head around the whole “man’s soul is untouchable” concept. Western culture teaches us their is only one life and killing or dying is definitive and absolute.

  2. How could you specifically apply the message of the Bhagavad Gita? I could use it’s lesson to dwell on the past less. As Americans wet spend a lot of time worrying about the past and future and purpose of our lives. The Bhagavad Gita teaches that their are endless lives and you should just worry about living the present one to the best of your ability and do your duty.

  3. How would the ancient Indian perspective of the Bhagavad Gita be VERY different than the 21st Century American perspective of doing one’s duty? Ancient Indians seem as if they used the Bhagavad Gita as a guide through their multiple lives. Their purpose for it seems more existential because 21st Century Americans have closed minds and think doing ones duty is more focused on specific tasks in life and not life as a whole.

  4. Now, venture back to ancient India. Think of a way the Bhagavad Gita could be used as a tool of oppression? Rulers or people in power could manipulate people using this text. The BG could be held over the head of subjects and have them forced to execute the will of a governing body or ruler instead of doing their true duty. They may also twist the interpretation and use literacy as a weapon to control people’s actions.

Feng Shui

I attempted to Feng Shui my phone by closing everything and getting rid of all the unnecessary pictures and videos and used of space. This proved to take awhile but gave me more storage and my phone ran faster.

Taoist Walk

The most powerful sensation was the feeling of cold on Friday in general. I have been on this path before but never alone and it did not feel much different. I mostly heard the wind and rustling of plants and trees. I smelled nothing notable the whole time. I thought and felt about the cold most of the time. My experience did not reflect Taoism but this experience can get one closer to nature that they may have already seen before.
